Hello, hello, hello, my friends, and welcome back to another episode of Believe Like a Boss. I am your host, life Coach, nandi Kamil, and, as always, I'm so grateful, thankful and excited to have you here for another episode. Welcome back, my friends. I'm just getting back from travel. I'm a little bit tired. We were running every single day from call it like 8am to 10pm sightseeing, dancing, seeing friends. I'm exhausted now, but I'm getting back into the swing of things. Getting back into the week. I hope your week is off to a fantastic start.

Speaker 2:

On the podcast recently we've been talking about some different themes that are coming up with my coaching, some themes that are coming up with my clients, things that I'm seeing across the board that are pretty consistent, and so last week we talked about being assertive, and not something that's coming up very consistently amongst my clients is being assertive. How do I speak up, how do I use my voice in a way that is firm but kind, that allows me to stand my ground but also be open to other people's opinions? So that's what we talked about last week, this week and next week. I'm going to break this down into two parts, because I predominantly work with female entrepreneurs and executives. A lot of them are building businesses, they're building brands, they're building brand awareness, they're starting blogs or they're starting to have one that does a channel business, another one that just works in gardens and is starting a YouTube channel, and so we're talking a lot about how do I sign clients, how do I make money, how do I attract more customers, right? So we're going to do this in two parts. Of course, there's, I think, so many different ways that you can attack this from a marketing standpoint, from a mindset standpoint, from a practicality standpoint, from a social media standpoint, right. There are all these different ways that you can look at calling in or attracting aligned clients, and so I'm breaking this down into two parts.

Speaker 2:

Part one, today, is going to be the spiritual side, the co-creative side, and part two, we're going to talk a little bit more about the practical things. What do you do, how do you show up in order to attract more aligned clients? Now for part one. Like I said, we're going to do spirituality. We're going to talk about a little bit of co-creation. How do I co-create with the universe? How do I call out my needs? How do I ask for what I want and trust that those things are being brought to me and then next week, we're going to talk about the practical side because, as you all know, I love my woo-woo, I love my spirituality, but I'm not here to tell you let's sit on the couch and we're going to meditate about it, we're going to twiddle our thumbs and it's going to come to us.

Speaker 2:

I'm not going to lie. I do believe in that process. You can technically, I believe, sit on your couch and call in things. However, the human that I am is not the human that's just going to sit on my couch and twiddle my thumbs and, like, say affirmations all day long my aligned clients are coming, my aligned clients are coming. Is that a fantastic exercise? Yes, and I believe in not only bowing your head but moving your feet, and I love that saying. Bow your head but move your feet. Pray for what you want, ask for what you want, whoever your higher power is, and, as always, my friends, I like to say take what sticks to you, leave the rest.

Speaker 2:

If you're new to this podcast episode, this is never about me telling you how to live your life. It's you listening to what resonates with you and then applying that. That's what alignment is. What is an alignment for you. There are different things that are aligned to different people and at the end of the day, it's about you showing up in alignment for you, because that's where we are the most magnetic. So for part one today, I have a few different questions. They're all somewhat synonyms for each other, just different ways to look at the same thing, but what it comes down to, when we're talking about calling an aligned clients before you even take any action, I have this question for you who are you when you have the clients you want, and how do you show up differently than you do now? Who are you when you have the clients that you want?

Speaker 2:

How do you imagine you're showing up when you have signed that first client, that 10th client? If you're a person you've just started your business, you've never signed a client before you might be thinking where's my next client coming from, or am I going to sign my first client? I don't know where they're coming from. I don't know where my client's coming from. Where am I going to sign my first client? All logical thoughts. All logical thoughts Because you've never signed a client before. The brain says where is this person coming from? Where is this magical human that's going to pay me my first dollars in my business. Where are they coming from? Right, so it's a logical thought. But what I want to offer is what's more useful, stepping into the energy of already having the client. And so we play with this.

Speaker 2:

How do you think you will feel when you sign that first client, when you have 10 customers? How do you believe you will feel in that place? Nine times out of ten, gratitude. You feel grateful. Oh, I'm so grateful for this client. I'm so grateful for this person's payment. I'm so grateful that someone invested in my Etsy store. I'm so grateful that someone wants to work with me for personal training or for freelancing, or wants to hire me as their virtual assistant. Whatever it is, I want you to go to that place, show up as if it's already done. How are you thinking and feeling when you have those clients? You're in abundance versus scarcity.

Speaker 2:

And again, it's logical, if you have not signed a first client yet, that you're like where is this person coming from? Where am I going to find my client? But what I'm offering is that that doesn't serve you. It serves us as a first step, but don't live there, don't live in this space of I don't know where my next client is coming from. I don't know where to get them. I don't know where to start.

Speaker 2:

I'm a baby blogger. I'm a baby business owner. I don't know what to do. Notice where your focus goes. Your energy flows. What are you focusing on? Are you focusing on the lack of clients, or are you focusing on of course they're coming in? Are you focusing on? I can't wait to launch this thing to attract more people? Are you focusing on? I'm so excited to meet them. I've put up my website. I started my Instagram. I've been using the hashtag. It's just a matter of time. I can't wait. I'm so excited when they find me. When someone clicks on my book now button, when someone clicks on my book the discovery call. When someone clicks on my Etsy store, I'm so excited. Are you visualizing that? Are you in that space, or are you in the space of it's not happening. It's not happening, it's not happening.

Speaker 2:

Again, we have what's called our reticular activating system, ras, in our brain. What you focus on, your brain then goes to look for evidence of. If you're focusing on the lack of clients, your brain will then go to find evidence for that Versus if I focus on of course they're coming in. Your brain will focus on all the ways that of course they're coming in. Here's my second question for you. Again, these are all seven M's for each other.

Speaker 2:

How does your energy shift when you are in abundance of clients versus lack? I can go to that place. Imagine you have 10 clients, you have 10 paying customers. How are you feeling in that place and can you manufacture that emotion in your body right now? The brain says why? Why would I manufacture that emotion ahead of time when I don't have any clients? Because when we're in that place, when we've manufactured the emotion of joy, I know I don't have any clients yet, but I'm going to step into joy ahead of time. I know I haven't had my first client or customer yet, but I'm going to step into expect and see, excuse me, I'm going to step into gratitude ahead of time. Brain says why would I do that? That's a waste of time. No, that is the best use of your time. That is the best use of your mind and your energy. Why? Because when you're there, you're in your prefrontal cortex and that is where creative thinking happens.

Speaker 2:

When you are in lack and scarcity, I don't know where they're coming from. I don't know where they're coming from. I need a client or I'm not going to be able to run this business. What if this never runs just off the ground? When you're there, which is a logical place to be, you are in scarcity, you are in protection mode, you're in survival mode. You cannot think creatively from that place. You need to be able to think creatively so you can come up with the reals ideas, come up with the marketing ideas, come up with the event that you're going to attend that's going to get you in proximity to the next person that's going to be your next client, or be able to tell you about somebody else who's been looking for a life coach and then direct them to you.

Speaker 2:

We manufacture the emotions of joy and gratitude ahead of time. I think that's why affirmations get a lot of guff. Why would I sit here and say I'm so excited for my clients that are coming to me? That might be an affirmation I might give to somebody who is working on signing the first client. I might say to them let's play with this affirmation I'm so excited for the clients that are coming to me. I think where we get guff, where affirmations get guff, is if you're just saying that and you don't believe it. It doesn't work Right. Use an affirmation as a tool.

Speaker 2:

When I say I love my clients and my clients love me, that was an affirmation I was saying before I signed a single client. I love my clients and my clients love me. Because for me, when I thought about my future self, who's working with 10, 20 women at a time, what am I thinking in that place? I love my clients and my clients love me. I love working with these women. I love supporting them. I love helping them help themselves I said to myself that's where I'm going to be. I'm going to be thinking those thoughts. Okay, so don't wait to think those thoughts. Think those thoughts now, ahead of time. Show up as if it's already done. And if you don't believe the thought, let's say you throw that out. I love my clients and my clients will mean your brains like what are you talking about? We have no clients. What do you mean? Your clients love you. They don't exist. Then we play with that.

Speaker 2:

It is possible to believe that new clients are coming in. It is possible that women are finding my website right now. It is possible that I'm signing new customers this week, even though I haven't in the past weeks, even though nobody's liked this page yet, even though I haven't booked a discovery call yet, it is possible that this is the week, it is possible that today is the day. Why wouldn't we live there?

Speaker 2:

I want you to notice your resistance. I want you to notice all the ways that you don't believe that it's happening. And if you can't write it all down reasons why I'm not signing clients, reasons why I'm not signing customers, reasons why my business isn't growing write all your reasons down, write all the butts in your brain. But this isn't happening. This isn't happening. This isn't writing it all down. Get it out of your body, get it out of your brain and onto a piece of paper and look at it. And then you get to decide what's true and what's not. It might be true that you haven't signed clients up until this point. Do you want to continue to believe that you're never going to sign clients? Does that thought serve you? Would you rather believe that, even though I haven't signed a customer yet, it is possible? It is so possible.

Speaker 2:

And then, from that place, when you step into that possibility again, we get back into our prefrontal cortex. Then all the ideas come in. What if I go to this event? What if I reach out to this person? What if I post at this time? What if I do a reel this way? Right, that's where the new creative ideas come in. Here's my last one for you. What are your thoughts, or what thoughts, rather, are you thinking when you have those 10 customers, when you have that first client? I want you to go that place. What do you think you'll actually be thinking? What are you going to say? How are you going to feel when that person presses pay now and they pay you In your Stripe account or your PayPal account or wherever you use? You see that money come through. What do you really think you're going to be thinking from that place? My offering is you start thinking those thoughts ahead of time now. You notice all of the resistance that comes up when you think those thoughts and you rewrite those thoughts.

Speaker 2:

Women love to pay me was one of the very first affirmations that I held on to before I had a client. Women love to pay me. Women love to pay me. I thought about it in a way that I think about when I go to Target or I buy I don't know under eye. This is the first thing that's coming to my mind right now, those like under eye patches. I love them. Love under eye patches, under eye treatments, love them. I get so excited when I buy that, or buy kombucha. Why? Because I know that I'm going to have these beautiful under eyes that I'm taking care of, or I know that I'm going to drink this yummy kombucha and it makes me so happy. So, in the same way I said, my clients love to pay me because when they do, they're so excited about the change that they're about to evoke in their life. They're so excited about the investment that they've made on themselves. They're so excited that they are taking action on becoming their very best selves in a way that fills an alignment for them. Of course, they're so excited to pay me and, as a result, I have shown up as a coach who creates that environment, because I truly believe that.

Speaker 2:

What are you believing about your product? What are you believing about your offering? What are you believing about your customers? What are you believing about your ability to sell at a tracked clients? Your beliefs are influencing how you're showing up. We back up a little bit. Your beliefs are influencing how you're feeling. How do you feel? How do you feel about selling? How do you feel about your business? How do you feel about customers? That is influencing the action you're taking or not taking, and your action that you're taking or not taking is influencing your results.

Speaker 2:

So if you want different results, you need to change the input. You have to change your thoughts. What are you thinking about signing clients? Are you thinking it's hard? Are you thinking it's too hard for you? Are you thinking that you're bad at selling? Are you thinking that nobody wants to buy this from you? Are you thinking this is never going to happen? Those thoughts are not serving you. Your brain is looking for evidence of that. Do you want to continue to look for evidence of that, or are you ready to look for evidence of of course clients are coming. Of course they want to work with me, of course my business is growing. And when you step into that energy of of course it's happening, you show up differently. If you truly believe of course the clients are coming, then you show up in a way that is in alignment with that. What would that look like? If you truly believe the clients are coming, the customers are coming. How are you thinking? How are you feeling? How are you showing up differently than how you're showing up now? This is part one. My friends, we're just doing the energetic work behind this.

Speaker 2:

This week. I want you to sit down and I want you to truly spend some time with yourself. Mindfulness, awareness without judgment. Be aware of your thoughts about selling, be aware of your thoughts about your business without judging yourself. Look at those thoughts and and take inventory. Are these thoughts serving me? Are these thoughts pushing me towards my goal of being excited about signing clients, of being happy in my business, of being a well paid freelancer or life coach or Etsy store owner, whatever it is for you?

Speaker 2:

Look at your thoughts and check in. Are these thoughts in alignment with the version of me that has the results that I want? Yes or no? And if they're not, what thoughts would I like to think instead? It's possible that they're women are coming. It's possible that I could sign a new client this week. It's possible that I can make $10,000 in my business this month. Check in with your thoughts. Your thoughts. Are your beliefs right? A belief is just a thought. You think again and again. Those thoughts are influencing your feelings. Those feelings are influencing your actions. Those actions are influencing your results. What are the results that you're wanting and what do you need to think and feel in order to create them? As always, my friends, take what sticks to you, leave the rest. See you next week.
